Challenge Identified – Solution Delivered
The project at Ruhr Park Bochum involved the fit-out of a Douglas store in two construction phases while maintaining an interim sales area. The work was carried out within the existing building, with walls and ceilings retained and selectively renovated. Openings were closed, new ones created, and all surfaces brought up to the required Q3 quality standard to align perfectly with the new store concept. In addition, the center imposed clear organizational requirements regarding working hours, deliveries, and processes, which demanded precise planning and coordination.
As the general contractor, we managed the complete fit-out, including demolition, drywall, painting, electrical installation, flooring, tiling, sanitary work, fire protection, advertising technology for the façade back wall, as well as overall project management. Special attention was given to the new façade design as a visual highlight, the integration of a modern store concept with new brands, and energy-efficient lighting and technology. Through close coordination with client-side suppliers and a structured construction schedule, we were able to implement all requirements on time and seamlessly.
