Projekt Kraft: Douglas Bochum Reimagined – Professional Renovation of the Existing Building

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the renovation of the Douglas store in Ruhr Park Bochum. The project was carried out in two construction phases while the interim sales area remained fully operational—a challenge that required precise planning and coordination.

The work was executed within the existing structure: existing walls and ceilings were retained and selectively upgraded. This included closing and creating new openings, surface preparation to Q3 standard, integration of state-of-the-art building services, as well as the installation of new flooring, tiles, painting, and drywall work.

Particular attention was paid to the new façade design as a key aesthetic highlight, the integration of a modern store concept with new brands, and energy-efficient lighting and technology. Through close coordination with client-side suppliers and careful construction scheduling, all requirements were met seamlessly.

The result speaks for itself: the store now shines in a high-quality, modern design that perfectly showcases the Douglas brand world. Thanks to excellent collaboration with our reliable partner companies and the store team, the renovation was executed not only flawlessly from a technical standpoint but also smoothly and efficiently.
